Kia Rio Facelift Launching Globally in 2015

Confirmation of the Rio facelift coming in 2015 arrives in the from of Kia Motors Corp. Overseas Marketing Vice President. Speaking to The Korean Car Blog, he used the world `globally` when referring to the launch of the car, meaning all major markets will receive it at about the same time.
The subcompact segment is a cut-throat business where customers rarely want to pay more for anything than they should. Needless to say, cars also need to be up to date or risk losing sales to rival brands. Sadly for Kia, their brand new Rio range never caught on, despite being radically better than the old model.
In unrelated news, the 1-liter Kappa turbo engine that`s been anticipated to the Kia model range will finally do so in 2015, in B- and C-segment cars. Of course, Kia only has one real B-segment car, and that`s the Rio, so it`s pretty much guaranteed to go turbo. There`s also the Chinese market K2 sedan but that`s designed to appeal to budget buyers.
